Widely known for his current lead role as Randheer in Sony TV’s period drama Kyun Uthe Dil Chod Aaye, Zaan Khan garnered love from the audience with his performance in the Indian youth based reality TV show Splitsvilla. He was the 2nd runner up of season 8. Zaan is known to be a fan of the late veteran actor Dilip Kumar. Interestingly, his current character Randheer is deeply inspired by the actor. Zaan has expressed in various interviews how the outfits and emotions channeled during the scenes are more than often inspired by the works of the late star.

A love story set during the pre-independence era, followed by India’s partition, Kyun Uthe Dil Chod Aaye required the actor to polish his Urdu and Sanskrit dialects to deliver an outstanding performance. Zaan admits how challenging it was to channel Randheer’s poise and style and to emote an era that most of the people today have only read about in books. The narrative of the show and the lifestyle of the characters witness the transition from the British rule to Indian independence.
Zaan debuted in Bollywood with Satyagraha (2013). Other than this, he also played a role in daily soap Jhalli Anjali Ke Tootey Dil Ki on Channel V, Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani and Bahu Humari Silk on Sony TV. He also starred in the movie Call for Fun (2017). The star also walks the ramp for various leading brands of the fashion industry. Hailing from Bhopal, India, Zaan understands how difficult it is for an outsider to get into the industry. However, he is specific about the work he undertakes and is looking forward to opportunities in the film industry. His current show is set to go off-air soon.

He completed his education from Falcon High School, Falcon, Colorado, USA and did his college studies from Trinity Institute of Technology & Research, Bhopal, India. He is currently known to be dating the actress-singer Nupur Sanon (Kirti Sanon’s sister), who launched her music career starring alongside the Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar in the duo-song Filhaal by B Praak.
He has a younger brother named Zeeshan Khan, who played the role of his best friend Sumit in the show Humari Bahu Silk. Interestingly, the actors’ real name is Zafar Khan, while Zaan is a nickname.
